It's the top sporting event in the world in the mountain triathlon and off-road sports. Typical distances are 1.5km swim, 30km mountain bike and 10km trail running. The routes are estimated at about two hours and 30 minutes and specifically swimming is 10%, mountain bike 65%, and running 25% of the total time of the race.
The race involves swimming (2 laps of 750 meters), mountain bike (two rounds of 10 km) and trail running (2 laps of 5 km) in the magnificent scenery of Plastira Lake. In Europe XTERRA is conducted in 8 countries which are the XTERRA European Tour, part of the World Championship XTERRA. All events leading to the grand final which takes place every October in Hawaii, USA.
